Rugs can be made by hand or by machine. Proper fiber identification is necessary in order to clean the rug as thoroughly as possible without damaging the quality. Our companies qualified technicians give them the proper care they deserve. Oriental rugs are generally made with natural fibers and dyes, this requires them to be treated with special care using cleaning agents with the correct PH balance to prevent browning, color fading, discolorations, etc. We also adjust cleaning temperatures and pressures to meet the special requirements of each type of rug. Fringes are cleaned and treated to ensure maximum beauty and brightness.

Carpet Cleaners R Us services Oriental, Turkish, Persian and specialty rugs of many types of fibers including cotton, wool, and silk, as well as a variety of synthetics, such as fringed synthetics, bound synthetics, braided rugs, etc. We use a line of cleaning agents and stain removers specially formulated to safely and effectively clean more delicate fibers. Due to the complexity of the cleaning process of these rugs most will be brought back to our office for cleaning. The process from pick up to delivery generally takes 3 to 5 business days. Certain synthetic rugs, however, can be cleaned on location. Please call our office today to schedule your appointment.

There are no two rugs alike. And often the most valuable heirlooms were hand crafted, hand dyed, and hand woven. The dyes are usually organic - with the richness of their color coming from plants, fruits, berries, nuts and roots. Knowing the specific type of rug that we are working with is important to help us in rug cleaning and ensuring that we do everything possible to protect rug dyes from bleeding or migrating.

Our "VIP" Rug Cleaning Package - Very Important Package for important carpet. package includes:

• Oriental rug pickup • Rug cleaning • Deodorizing • Rug protection • Oriental rug delivered to your home.

We treat each rug with individualized attention and care. We know how to determine the best cleaning technique and method to suit your rug's particular weave, fibers and dyes.

Our job begins by sending your rugs through a dusting machine-this is more effective in removing soil than regular vacuuming. Then, rugs are soaked, washed and hung to dry in a regulated air environment.

We employ skilled technicians for the most advanced technology to deep-clean and revitalize your rug, making it once again a wonderful mix of color & texture and a source of pride.

Here's a closer look at how it's done:

Pre-Inspection - We examine the condition of each rug, looking for signs of fading, discoloration, stains, wear, pre-existing damage, color instability and odors. We assess the clean ability of each rug and the appropriate cleaning process that must be used.

Dusting - We remove dust and minute particles lying deep within the rug, using compressed air and special tools. This step is often referred to as "air washing" or "dusting", and is far more effective than simply vacuuming or beating.

Pre-Treatment - Spots, spills and stains are pre-treated using the most advanced spotting techniques.

Pre-Cleaning - Sites of heavy traffic and soiling are pre-cleaned. Note: discoloration caused by wear, fading, or chemical reaction is not reversible.

Dissolving and extracting ground-in soil.Rinsing in order to remove deeper soil and cleaning residue, restoring natural textures. Restorative grooming with special grooming tools.
Note: fiber wear or distortion is not reversible.

Drying - Rugs are dried in a climate controlled drying room. Takes less than 24 hours.

Final Inspection. We will conduct a meticulous inspection of your rug. If needed, we will repeat any of the above steps until your rug is as clean and beautiful looking as is technologically possible. We make no compromises on the final result.

We're enthusiastic about quality and it shows!

We also offer special cleaning services for restoration of valuable rugs, using special equipment and restorative chemical treatments.

Dirty rugs may not look dirty, but typically look flat and lusterless.Walking on a dirty rug shortens its life prematurely. Dirt and sand fragments act like sandpaper as you grind them into the surface of your rug. People think that because rugs are valuable they must be pampered like fine china. Rugs have earned their reputation for being magical in part because of their sheer endurance. When they are dirty they can be washed, unlike wall to wall carpeting, which can be surface cleaned only.

So, just how often should you wash your rugs? On the average, every four or five years, but the real answer is not before and not long after they are dirty. You can tell if your rug is dirty by testing it with a white, wet cloth. Rub the rug's pile vigorously with the wet cloth and check to see how much dirt is transferred to the cloth. Don't worry about a little discoloration; any rug has a little dust on its surface. A dirty rug will transfer a lot of dirt to the cloth.

Many area rugs are highly expensive Orientals, antiques or other works of art and we recommend that you take advantage of our in-plant service, to ensure that your rug gets only the best treatment to protect your investment. We will remove all free dirt, dust, grit, mites and mite carcasses thoroughly before commencing with the cleaning process. We have the state of art equipment to do this gently without the risk of damage to rugs even if they are antiques over 100 years old.Once all the initial grime and dirt have been removed, our rug cleaning procedure often requires chemicals with varying pH values to finish the job. Once we have removed all the grime and stains from your rug, we will restore its original pH grade by neutralising any material chemicals that were used.

Our rug treatment includes restoration and re-fringing. In other words we offer a complete rug treatment program that will leave you completely satisfied.

Rug Cleaning Tips

In order to keep your rug looking good, vacuum it regularly, taking special care around the fringe areas.Should there be any staining, remove stains immediately by moistening (not wetting out) the stained area and blotting with a paper towel or clean white cloth.
Call your professional cleaner if your initial results are unsatisfactory. Do not resort to harsh abrasive and irreversibly damaging action. We recommend cleaning your rugs professionally on a regular basis to preserve them longer.
